Teaching Philosophy

Every learner is unique who needs care, security, and emotional stability in order to grow up with confidence. They feel secure in an environment in which they feel protected and safe. They love to study from a teacher who can understand their level of learning and field of interest and especially the way in which they want to learn. Keeping in mind that each learner is different, I apply different techniques and teaching styles according to the interest and calibre of the students. They enjoy learning when the topic taught is made interesting and correlates to daily life experiences.

Mathematics is a subject which is usually considered as a dry subject, but it can be made interesting by using different methods and techniques involving the learners in different activities. I believe in creating a stimulating, challenging, learning environment for dealing effectively with the students of all levels and with different learning abilities. I encourage discussions to utilize students’ critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

For example, business-related problems can be made easy if we tell them that you think about that situation actually happening with you and try to find out the way to solve them. It creates interest in them and they feel involved with the problem and try to solve it by using different formulas.

I have worked as an Associate Professor and Head of The Mathematics Department in the post–secondary Institution in India. I have taught different branches of Mathematics including Calculus, Advanced Functions, Algebra, Trigonometry, Geometry, Business Mathematics, Quantitative Methods, Probability, and Statistics to students at secondary and post-secondary levels. I am passionate about children’s learning and development by promoting deeper understanding of the concepts of the subject taught to boost students’ self-confidence and self-esteem.

Teaching is my passion and I believe that the combination of my education and experience offers me the unique opportunity to make a positive contribution to the progress and success of my students in achieving the higher grades. I have full confidence in my students capability as well as in my way of teaching. I prefer to learn with them instead of just teaching them. I keep myself at their level and then teach in a way which is easy to understand and is memorable.
